nice concept. your server is slow so i had time to picture in my head what this shot should be, and it's pretty much as i thought. pretty much the only part of the image i don't like is the spacescape, it seems like you had to force it in kind of. if you had just kept with a sky and violent clouds with your comet, i think it would have had more of a real effect. as for each piece of the image (the photo, and the painting over), they are all extremely well-done and pieced together seamlessly. good job here.

Actually, I like the addition of the spacescape. I do, however, think that the quarter moon/planet on the right might be stronger with a more full view of the orb, perhaps still cutting off small sections of the circle with the picture's frame for visual tension. The sense of light is beautiful, here!

I'm not a big fan of Photo Manipulations - however, this is one that stands out - - - a little reminiscent of Judgement Day (Terminator) and Deep Impact - [+9]
